S-Online is a lightweight and easy to use Home-Banking-Software. It uses the HBCI bank-independent protocol for online banking to create a secure connection to your financial institute. S-Online can get informations about all existing accounts and the associated transactions. The data is stored in an internal database to offer local access to it.
The application itself is developed in C# and requires the Microsoft .NET Framework version 3.5 to run. hbci4java is a free library and is used for the HBCI-communication. It implements the bank-independent HBCI-protocol and can be used in the .NET environment with the help of IKVM.
All account informations are stored in a local SQLite database, to offer easy access. An integrated chart tool can plot account values, caluclated or estimated values.
